Flax Cumin Chutney

Flaxseeds provide healthy omega 3 fats and other bone-friendly minerals, whereas Cumin seeds provide many micronutrients and vitamins.
A perfect combination of flax and cumin in this recipe adds health, taste, and variety to your meal.

Ingredients

  • 75 gms Flax Seeds
  • 3 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • to taste, Salt

Instructions

  • Heat a pan on medium heat. Add the flaxseeds and dry roast stirring continuously.
  • Set aside to cool completely.
  • Roast the cumin seeds lightly and cool.
  • Blend the roasted, cooled flax and cumin seeds into a powder.
  • Add the garlic, chilli powder, and salt and blend again.
  • Serve as an accompaniment with the main meal to add taste and improve the nutrient quotient.
