A zero fat diet gives better weight loss?

Fats are essential for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, D, E, and K. They protect the vital organs of the body like heart, brain, kidney, reproductive organs from shock and physical injury. Fats are also important in maintaining healthy skin and regulating body temperature.

A zero fat diet may help to lose weight faster (because of the calorie deficit), but the nutritional status of the body will be compromised and will be seen in the form of Vitamin deficiencies, unhealthy and sagging skin, hair loss, impaired immunity, and many other hormonal and physiological disturbances. Also, a Zero fat diet is not palatable and cannot be adhered to for a long time.

So it is wise to include small quantities of good quality fat in the diet for a healthy weight loss which is better sustainable.
