Natural Strawberry Jam

Enjoy the goodness of strawberries with this homemade no sugar, no preservative jam. Strawberries make for an excellent source of antioxidants and many other vitamins.Chia seeds add to the protein and omega- 3 fats, all this in a low- calorie package.

Ingredients

  • 500 gms Strawberries (washed)
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon juice (fresh)
  • 2 Tbsp Chia seeds

Instructions

  • Hull and chop the strawberries.
  • Heat them in a saucepan with the honey over medium flame until soft and tender for about 30 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and the chia seeds.
  • Cover and chill.
  • Serve as a topping or a spread.
