Have a sweet tooth? Will get Diabetes?

While it is clear that a diabetic needs to keep away from sugar, eating sugar causes Diabetes is quite far from reality.

Diabetes is not a disease but a lifestyle disorder which is caused mainly by factors such as physical inactivity, stress, unhealthy eating habits, obesity, all tied together with a string of family history of Diabetes.

While it is imperative to eat healthy to maintain a near normal weight status, having a sweet tooth does not make one, a candidate for Diabetes. However on the flipside, if you have not been serious about losing those extra 5-10 kgs for a long time, it will eventually lead to abdominal obesity, thus making the body resistant to the action of Insulin (a hormone that manages blood sugars) causing high blood sugars in the long run.

So the best way to keep away from this SWEET TROUBLE is to savour your sweet delights if you must, but sweat it out regularly while also keeping stress at bay!
