Kale is green or purple in colour with smooth or curly leaves, belongs to the cabbage family and is one of the most nutrient-dense leafy vegetables that also fits a low-calorie bill.

Kale boasts of being one of the best sources of Vitamin K. It is also rich in minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc, manganese, copper, vitamins like A, C, B6, Niacin and a battery of antioxidants like polyphenols and quercetin to name a few. It is a single super veggie that is a powerhouse of minerals usually deficient in other foods.
